Supporting contract management through review and audit

Our client is one of Europe’s leading financial institutions. We have worked with them since October 2014 to deliver a variety of transformation activities, including designing and creating a comprehensive contracts database, reviewing individual contracts and producing a number of long form contract review documents.

The brief

The engagement was designed to provide our client with a greater understanding of the current contract landscape and provide a platform for future contract management. Working on an international platform, we needed to gather information on over 4,000 contracts relating to the organisation’s customers and partners.

Action taken

We mapped the regional billing data, existing contract information and client data usage statistics to create a centralised view of the contracting environment and have undertaken a forensic audit on 270 key contracts.

We have put in place the mechanisms to deliver ongoing insights into the contract environment, including establishing dashboards and contract administration processes. We have also supported the development of the internal contract management best practice to ensure the reviewed contracts are maintained and monitored.

Global delivery

The result

  • A robust contracts database providing a centralised view of their global contracting environment to enable greater strategic decision-making
  • Detailed insights into key contracts and an understanding of current contracting capability
  • A best practice contract management to ensure the contracts database is maintained and updated
