Managing corporate expenditure
Our client was looking for a framework and governance process to support more proactive management of the contingent labour from both an operational and commercial perspective.
Demand management activity
Our work started with a detailed RFI and stakeholder interviews to define the baseline, followed by review with HR to identify existing capacity and operating models, and look at savings opportunities.
We engaged stakeholders to gain a better understanding of the usage of key temporary labour users within the business. We followed up with an RFI to the current supply base to understand and clarify charging rates and role distribution.
We used our subject matter experts to understand the wider requirements and leverage the temporary expenditure to maximise the commercial proposition on permanent recruitment. We also put in place governance controls to challenge the specifications and reduce the total usage of temporary labour.
Holistic view of recruitment expenditure
- Pre tender engagement with suppliers to ensure appetite for working on a low value spend
- Working in partnership with HR to deliver and support an element of the HR strategy through the use of procurement
- Delivery of a total recruitment solution for both temporary and permanent with the potential for expanded scope to event day staffing provision
- Further investment into the FA by including hospitality purchases/discounts as part of the overall commercial package
